On 27–29 June 2026, heavy and persistent rainfall struck the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, Kakheti Regions in Western Georgia, severely impacting Senaki, Chkhorotsku municipalities and Akhmeta municipality in Eastern over the following days.
