A monsoon depression persisting over south Jharkhand and adjoining Odisha, India, combined with a strong active monsoon current over the North Bay of Bengal, is bringing heavy to very heavy rainfall to Cox's Bazar, Bandarban and Chattogram districts from 6 to 9 July 2026.
